Cats

Here, kitty kitty!

Two gray kittens with white markings playing on grass.

Cats play a valuable role in our farm community, contributing in various ways that enhance both the environment and the well-being of our farm animals.

One of the primary benefits of having cats on a farm is their ability to control rodent populations. Farm settings often attract mice, rats, and other small pests that can cause damage, spread disease, and create an unhealthy environment. Cats are natural hunters and can significantly reduce these populations, leading to a healthier and more productive farm community.

Meet our cats!

    Boots

Boots and Heather were found in an older mans barn in Shelby, NC in April 2024. He wanted nothing to do with them. A facebook friend mentioned them and we agreed to pick them up.

We bottle fed them until they could eat solid food. We were told they were sisters, until be took them to be spayed and the vet said, "surprise" Macy is a boy. So, we changed his name to Boots.

    Tigger

Tigger came from an animal shelter in Greensboro, NC about 10 years ago. The owner’s parents would not let her keep him, so we adopted him.
